Mounting the camera mount on the Turtle frame

Posted by Henning Pedersen at

The camera mount is a flexible way to mount most mini/action cameras and takes away vibrations.

It´s made using 2 pieces of 4,8mm ziptie, a piece of rapstrap, and the camera plate.

Start by inserting the zipties from underneath, starting with the hole closest to the center of the frame, notice the direction of the ziptie head:

Then pull trough the camera base plate, about 4 cm above the base plate:

Let the zipties go trough a loop from the base plate and upwards:

Pull back into the middle holes and thighten:

Then finally lock into the ziptie heads...

And cut the excessive ends.

The camera plate can be used on different angles depending on the camera you want to mount. The plate can slide trough the loop to change the camera angle.

Here with a GoPro:

And here with the Runcam HD.

Notice that a crash might damage the camera. Fly with care and avoid flying near hard surfaces like concrete, asphalt etc.
